DriveMeter ("the app") is a GPS speedometer and trip cost meter for drivers. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and what control you have. The app has no user accounts, no server, and no internet permission. Everything you record stays on your device.
Verifiable, not merely promised. DriveMeter does not declare the android.permission.INTERNET permission. Without it, Android blocks the app from opening any network connection — so your trip and location data physically cannot be transmitted anywhere, by us or by anyone else. You can confirm this yourself in the app's permission list on the Play Store.
Who we are
DriveMeter is published by Overdrive Labs. We are the data controller for the purposes of the GDPR, though in practice we never receive your data: it is created and stored solely on your device.
Data the app handles
Location data. With your permission, the app reads your device's GPS position while a trip is recording. Coordinates are used only to compute speed, distance travelled, and time spent stationary, which together produce the trip's fuel or electricity cost. Processing happens entirely on your device.
Background location. Drivers typically start a trip and then switch to a navigation or rideshare app. To keep measuring during that time, DriveMeter requests "Allow all the time" location access and runs a foreground service. Tracking runs only while a trip is actively recording, which you start by tapping START TRIP and end by tapping FINISH. A persistent notification showing live speed, distance and cost is visible throughout. Ending the trip stops location access immediately.
Trip records. Distance, duration, idle time, maximum speed, energy used and cost for each trip are saved to a local database. You may classify a trip as Business or Personal, add a note, and record a fare.
Vehicle and rate settings. Vehicle names, fuel or energy efficiency figures, energy prices, and time-of-use electricity rates that you enter are stored locally.
Route breadcrumbs (disabled by default). The app can optionally store the individual GPS points of a trip. This setting is off unless you turn it on, and those points can be deleted separately from your trip history at any time.
App preferences. Units, currency, display options and similar settings are stored locally on your device.
What we do not collect
No accounts, sign-in, email address or user profile — there is nothing to register.
No server or database operated by us. We never receive a copy of your data.
No analytics, crash reporting or tracking SDKs of any kind.
No advertising and no advertising identifier.
No contacts, call logs, SMS, photos or files.
We do not sell, share or transfer your personal data. The app cannot, having no network access.
Permissions and why each is needed
Precise and approximate location. The core function: measuring speed, distance and trip cost.
Background location. Required because measurement must continue when you switch to your navigation app mid-journey.
Foreground service (location type). Keeps trip measurement running with a visible ongoing notification while the app is off screen.
Notifications. Displays the ongoing trip status notification.
Display over other apps (optional). Shows the floating meter above your navigation app. The app works fully without it.
Ignore battery optimisation (optional). Prevents the system ending trip tracking during a long shift. You may decline.
Wake lock. Keeps the screen awake while mounted, if you enable that setting.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), given when you grant location permission, and performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) for the app functionality you requested. You may withdraw consent at any time by revoking the location permission in your device settings; the app will stop measuring trips but remains usable for viewing past records.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, PIPL, CCPA, PDPA and similar laws you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Because your data never leaves your device, you exercise these rights directly in the app rather than by contacting us:
Access and portability — export your trips to CSV or PDF from the trip list.
Rectification — edit trip classification, notes, fares, vehicles and rates in the app.
Erasure — swipe to delete individual trips, or use Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete all data. Uninstalling removes everything.
Restriction and objection — revoke the location permission, or disable route breadcrumbs.
We hold no copy of your data, so there is no account for us to look up, correct or delete on your behalf.
Where your data is stored
All data is stored in a local SQLite database in the app's private storage on your device. The app performs no cloud backup. Files you explicitly export (CSV or PDF reports) are written to your device's storage and are shared only if you choose to share them using your device's own share sheet — at which point they are handled by whatever app you send them to.
International transfers
None. Your data is not transmitted off your device by the app, so no cross-border transfer occurs.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept for as long as you keep it. Delete individual trips by swiping them away in the trip list, or erase everything at once via Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete all data. Because there is no server, there is no account on our side to delete. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Security
Data resides in the app's private storage, which the operating system isolates from other apps. Because nothing is transmitted, there is no server or transmission channel to breach. Physical access to an unlocked device would allow access to exported files, so we recommend keeping a device lock enabled.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

DriveMeter («la aplicación») es un velocímetro GPS y medidor de coste por trayecto para conductores. Esta política explica qué datos maneja la aplicación, con qué finalidad y qué control tiene usted. La aplicación no tiene cuentas de usuario, ni servidor, ni permiso de acceso a internet. Todo lo que registra permanece en su dispositivo.
Verificable, no solo prometido. DriveMeter no declara el permiso android.permission.INTERNET. Sin él, Android impide que la aplicación abra cualquier conexión de red, por lo que sus datos de trayecto y ubicación no pueden transmitirse a ningún sitio, ni por nosotros ni por nadie. Puede comprobarlo usted mismo en la lista de permisos de la aplicación en Play Store.
Quiénes somos
DriveMeter es publicada por Overdrive Labs. Somos el responsable del tratamiento a efectos del RGPD, aunque en la práctica nunca recibimos sus datos: se crean y se almacenan únicamente en su dispositivo.
Datos que maneja la aplicación
Datos de ubicación. Con su permiso, la aplicación lee la posición GPS del dispositivo mientras se registra un trayecto. Las coordenadas se usan solo para calcular velocidad, distancia recorrida y tiempo detenido, lo que produce el coste de combustible o electricidad del trayecto. Todo el procesamiento ocurre en su dispositivo.
Ubicación en segundo plano. Los conductores suelen iniciar un trayecto y cambiar después a su aplicación de navegación o de transporte. Para seguir midiendo durante ese tiempo, DriveMeter solicita el acceso a la ubicación «Permitir todo el tiempo» y ejecuta un servicio en primer plano. El seguimiento funciona únicamente mientras un trayecto se está registrando: usted lo inicia pulsando INICIAR TRAYECTO y lo detiene pulsando FINALIZAR. Durante todo el proceso se muestra una notificación persistente con velocidad, distancia y coste en tiempo real. Al finalizar el trayecto, el acceso a la ubicación cesa de inmediato.
Registros de trayecto. Distancia, duración, tiempo al ralentí, velocidad máxima, energía consumida y coste de cada trayecto se guardan en una base de datos local. Puede clasificar un trayecto como Profesional o Personal, añadir una nota y registrar la tarifa cobrada.
Ajustes de vehículo y tarifas. Los nombres de vehículos, cifras de consumo o eficiencia, precios de energía y tarifas eléctricas por franja horaria que introduzca se almacenan localmente.
Puntos de ruta (desactivado por defecto). La aplicación puede almacenar opcionalmente los puntos GPS individuales de un trayecto. Este ajuste está desactivado salvo que usted lo active, y esos puntos pueden borrarse por separado del historial en cualquier momento.
Preferencias de la aplicación. Unidades, moneda, opciones de visualización y ajustes similares se almacenan localmente.
Lo que no recopilamos
Sin cuentas, inicio de sesión, correo electrónico ni perfil de usuario: no hay nada que registrar.
Sin servidor ni base de datos operados por nosotros. Nunca recibimos una copia de sus datos.
Sin analíticas, informes de fallos ni SDK de seguimiento de ningún tipo.
Sin publicidad ni identificador publicitario.
Sin acceso a contactos, registros de llamadas, SMS, fotos ni archivos.
No vendemos, compartimos ni transferimos sus datos personales. La aplicación no puede hacerlo, al carecer de acceso a la red.
Permisos y por qué son necesarios
Ubicación precisa y aproximada. Función principal: medir velocidad, distancia y coste del trayecto.
Ubicación en segundo plano. Necesaria porque la medición debe continuar cuando usted cambia a su aplicación de navegación durante el trayecto.
Servicio en primer plano (tipo ubicación). Mantiene la medición activa con una notificación visible mientras la aplicación no está en pantalla.
Notificaciones. Muestra la notificación de estado del trayecto en curso.
Mostrar sobre otras aplicaciones (opcional). Muestra el medidor flotante sobre su aplicación de navegación. La aplicación funciona por completo sin este permiso.
Ignorar optimización de batería (opcional). Evita que el sistema interrumpa el seguimiento durante una jornada larga. Puede rechazarlo.
Wake lock. Mantiene la pantalla encendida con el dispositivo en soporte, si activa ese ajuste.
Base jurídica del tratamiento (RGPD)
Cuando resulte aplicable el RGPD, nuestra base jurídica es su consentimiento (artículo 6.1.a), otorgado al conceder el permiso de ubicación, y la ejecución de un contrato (artículo 6.1.b) respecto de la funcionalidad que usted solicita. Puede retirar el consentimiento en cualquier momento revocando el permiso de ubicación en los ajustes del dispositivo; la aplicación dejará de medir trayectos, pero seguirá sirviendo para consultar registros anteriores.
Sus derechos
Conforme al RGPD, la PIPL, la CCPA, la PDPA y leyes similares, usted tiene derecho de acceso, rectificación, supresión, limitación, portabilidad y oposición. Dado que sus datos nunca salen del dispositivo, ejerce estos derechos directamente en la aplicación, sin necesidad de contactarnos:
Acceso y portabilidad: exporte sus trayectos a CSV o PDF desde la lista de trayectos.
Rectificación: edite la clasificación, notas, tarifas, vehículos y precios en la aplicación.
Supresión: deslice para borrar trayectos individuales o use Ajustes → Privacidad y datos → Eliminar todos los datos. Desinstalar la elimina todo.
Limitación y oposición: revoque el permiso de ubicación o desactive los puntos de ruta.
No conservamos ninguna copia de sus datos, por lo que no existe cuenta alguna que podamos consultar, corregir o eliminar en su nombre.
Dónde se almacenan sus datos
Todos los datos se guardan en una base de datos SQLite dentro del almacenamiento privado de la aplicación en su dispositivo. La aplicación no realiza copias de seguridad en la nube. Los archivos que usted exporte explícitamente (informes CSV o PDF) se escriben en el almacenamiento del dispositivo y solo se comparten si usted decide hacerlo mediante el menú de compartir del sistema, momento en el que pasan a ser gestionados por la aplicación de destino.
Transferencias internacionales
Ninguna. La aplicación no transmite sus datos fuera del dispositivo, por lo que no se produce transferencia transfronteriza alguna.
Conservación y eliminación de datos
Sus datos se conservan mientras usted los mantenga. Borre trayectos individuales deslizándolos en la lista, o elimine todo de una vez mediante Ajustes → Privacidad y datos → Eliminar todos los datos. Al no haber servidor, no existe cuenta alguna que eliminar por nuestra parte. Desinstalar la aplicación elimina todos los datos almacenados localmente.
Menores
La aplicación no está dirigida a menores de 13 años (o la edad mínima equivalente en su jurisdicción) y no recopila conscientemente datos de ellos.
Seguridad
Los datos residen en el almacenamiento privado de la aplicación, que el sistema operativo aísla de otras aplicaciones. Al no transmitirse nada, no hay servidor ni canal de transmisión vulnerable. El acceso físico a un dispositivo desbloqueado permitiría acceder a los archivos exportados, por lo que recomendamos mantener activado el bloqueo del dispositivo.
Cambios en esta política
Podemos actualizar esta política periódicamente. Los cambios sustanciales se reflejarán aquí con una nueva fecha de «última actualización». El uso continuado de la aplicación tras un cambio implica la aceptación de la política revisada.

قابل للتحقّق، وليس مجرّد وعد. لا يعلن DriveMeter عن إذن android.permission.INTERNET. وبدون هذا الإذن يمنع نظام أندرويد التطبيق من فتح أي اتصال شبكي، ولذلك لا يمكن تقنيًا نقل بيانات رحلاتك ومواقعك إلى أي جهة، لا من قِبَلنا ولا من قِبَل غيرنا. ويمكنك التحقّق من ذلك بنفسك في قائمة أذونات التطبيق على متجر Play.
من نحن
يصدر تطبيق DriveMeter عن Overdrive Labs. نحن المتحكّم في البيانات وفق اللائحة العامة لحماية البيانات (GDPR)، غير أننا عمليًا لا نتلقّى بياناتك مطلقًا: فهي تُنشأ وتُخزَّن على جهازك وحده.
البيانات التي يتعامل معها التطبيق
بيانات الموقع. يقرأ التطبيق، بعد إذنك، موقع جهازك عبر GPS أثناء تسجيل رحلة. تُستخدم الإحداثيات فقط لحساب السرعة والمسافة المقطوعة ومدة التوقّف، وهي ما ينتج عنه تكلفة الوقود أو الكهرباء للرحلة. تجري كل المعالجة على جهازك.
الموقع في الخلفية. يبدأ السائقون عادةً رحلة ثم ينتقلون إلى تطبيق ملاحة أو تطبيق نقل تشاركي. ولمواصلة القياس خلال تلك المدة يطلب DriveMeter إذن الموقع «السماح طوال الوقت» ويشغّل خدمة في المقدّمة. يعمل التتبّع فقط أثناء تسجيل رحلة نشطة، تبدؤها بالضغط على «بدء الرحلة» وتنهيها بالضغط على «إنهاء». ويظهر طوال المدة إشعار دائم يعرض السرعة والمسافة والتكلفة لحظيًا. وبمجرد إنهاء الرحلة يتوقف الوصول إلى الموقع فورًا.
سجلات الرحلات. تُحفَظ المسافة والمدة ووقت التوقّف والسرعة القصوى والطاقة المستهلكة والتكلفة لكل رحلة في قاعدة بيانات محلية. ويمكنك تصنيف الرحلة كعمل أو شخصية، وإضافة ملاحظة، وتسجيل الأجرة.
إعدادات المركبة والأسعار. تُخزَّن محليًا أسماء المركبات وأرقام كفاءة استهلاك الوقود أو الطاقة وأسعار الطاقة وتعرفة الكهرباء حسب وقت الاستخدام التي تدخلها.
نقاط المسار (معطّلة افتراضيًا). يمكن للتطبيق اختياريًا تخزين نقاط GPS المنفردة للرحلة. هذا الإعداد معطّل ما لم تفعّله بنفسك، ويمكن حذف تلك النقاط بمعزل عن سجل الرحلات في أي وقت.
تفضيلات التطبيق. تُخزَّن محليًا وحدات القياس والعملة وخيارات العرض والإعدادات المشابهة.
ما لا نجمعه
لا حسابات ولا تسجيل دخول ولا بريد إلكتروني ولا ملف تعريف مستخدم — فلا شيء يستوجب التسجيل.
لا خادم ولا قاعدة بيانات نديرها. ولا نتلقّى نسخة من بياناتك مطلقًا.
لا أدوات تحليلات ولا تقارير أعطال ولا حزم تتبّع من أي نوع.
لا إعلانات ولا معرّف إعلاني.
لا وصول إلى جهات الاتصال أو سجلات المكالمات أو الرسائل النصية أو الصور أو الملفات.
لا نبيع بياناتك الشخصية ولا نشاركها ولا ننقلها. والتطبيق لا يستطيع ذلك أصلًا لانعدام وصوله إلى الشبكة.
الأذونات وسبب الحاجة إلى كل منها
الموقع الدقيق والتقريبي. الوظيفة الأساسية: قياس السرعة والمسافة وتكلفة الرحلة.
الموقع في الخلفية. ضروري لأن القياس يجب أن يستمر عند انتقالك إلى تطبيق الملاحة أثناء الرحلة.
خدمة في المقدّمة (من نوع الموقع). تُبقي قياس الرحلة عاملًا مع إشعار ظاهر ومستمر بينما يكون التطبيق خارج الشاشة.
الإشعارات. لعرض إشعار حالة الرحلة الجارية.
العرض فوق التطبيقات الأخرى (اختياري). لإظهار العدّاد العائم فوق تطبيق الملاحة. ويعمل التطبيق بكامل وظائفه بدونه.
تجاهل تحسين البطارية (اختياري). يمنع النظام من إنهاء تتبّع الرحلة خلال نوبة عمل طويلة. ويمكنك رفضه.
إبقاء الجهاز مستيقظًا. يُبقي الشاشة مضاءة أثناء تثبيت الجهاز، إذا فعّلت هذا الإعداد.
الأساس القانوني للمعالجة (GDPR)
حيثما تنطبق اللائحة العامة لحماية البيانات، يكون أساسنا القانوني هو موافقتك (المادة 6(1)(أ)) الممنوحة عند منحك إذن الموقع، وتنفيذ عقد (المادة 6(1)(ب)) فيما يخص وظائف التطبيق التي طلبتها. ويمكنك سحب موافقتك في أي وقت بإلغاء إذن الموقع من إعدادات جهازك؛ عندها يتوقف التطبيق عن قياس الرحلات مع بقائه صالحًا لعرض السجلات السابقة.
حقوقك
بموجب اللائحة العامة لحماية البيانات وقانون حماية المعلومات الشخصية الصيني (PIPL) وقانون CCPA وقانون PDPA وما ماثلها، لك حقوق الوصول والتصحيح والمحو وتقييد المعالجة وقابلية النقل والاعتراض. ولأن بياناتك لا تغادر جهازك، فإنك تمارس هذه الحقوق مباشرةً داخل التطبيق بدلًا من مراسلتنا:
الوصول وقابلية النقل — صدّر رحلاتك بصيغة CSV أو PDF من قائمة الرحلات.
التصحيح — عدّل تصنيف الرحلة والملاحظات والأجرة والمركبات والأسعار داخل التطبيق.
المحو — اسحب لحذف رحلات منفردة، أو استخدم الإعدادات ← الخصوصية والبيانات ← حذف كل البيانات. وإلغاء تثبيت التطبيق يزيل كل شيء.
التقييد والاعتراض — ألغِ إذن الموقع، أو عطّل تسجيل نقاط المسار.
لا نحتفظ بأي نسخة من بياناتك، ومن ثمّ لا يوجد حساب لدينا نبحث فيه أو نصحّحه أو نحذفه نيابةً عنك.
أين تُخزَّن بياناتك
تُخزَّن جميع البيانات في قاعدة بيانات SQLite ضمن مساحة التخزين الخاصة بالتطبيق على جهازك. ولا يُجري التطبيق أي نسخ احتياطي سحابي. أما الملفات التي تصدّرها أنت صراحةً (تقارير CSV أو PDF) فتُكتب في مساحة تخزين جهازك ولا تُشارَك إلا إذا اخترت مشاركتها عبر قائمة المشاركة في نظامك، وعندها يتولّى التعامل معها التطبيق الذي أرسلتها إليه.
عمليات النقل الدولية
لا يوجد. فالتطبيق لا ينقل بياناتك خارج جهازك، ومن ثمّ لا يحدث أي نقل عبر الحدود.
الاحتفاظ بالبيانات وحذفها
تبقى بياناتك ما دمت تحتفظ بها. احذف رحلات منفردة بسحبها في قائمة الرحلات، أو امسح كل شيء دفعةً واحدة عبر الإعدادات ← الخصوصية والبيانات ← حذف كل البيانات. ولانعدام وجود خادم، لا يوجد لدينا حساب يُحذف. ويؤدي إلغاء تثبيت التطبيق إلى إزالة جميع البيانات المخزَّنة محليًا.
الأطفال
التطبيق غير موجَّه للأطفال دون سن 13 عامًا (أو الحد الأدنى المكافئ للسن في نطاق ولايتك القضائية)، ولا يجمع بياناتهم عن علم.
الأمان
تُحفَظ البيانات في مساحة التخزين الخاصة بالتطبيق، التي يعزلها نظام التشغيل عن التطبيقات الأخرى. ولأن شيئًا لا يُنقل، فلا يوجد خادم أو قناة نقل عرضة للاختراق. غير أن الوصول المادي إلى جهاز غير مقفل يتيح الاطلاع على الملفات المصدَّرة، ولذلك ننصح بإبقاء قفل الجهاز مفعّلًا.
التغييرات على هذه السياسة
قد نحدّث هذه السياسة من حين إلى آخر. وستظهر التغييرات الجوهرية هنا مصحوبةً بتاريخ «آخر تحديث» جديد. ويُعدّ استمرارك في استخدام التطبيق بعد التغيير قبولًا للسياسة المعدّلة.
